2014 Marjico Cabernet Franc
6pk carton
$240.00
The grapes were grown in sandy soil at Vine Vale in middle Barossa and picked at full maturity as shown in the dimpling of the berries at the time.
Fermentation at Wine Wine Winery was started at 14.8 baume and allowed to reach 30*C prior to cooling to 24*C. This gives lively tobacco overtones while the lower holds the violet-like florals.
Twenty-three months in oak and a year in bottle has given a deluxe premium wine of great texture, richness, distinctiveness of style and varietal characters.
Being slightly lower alcohol than many Barossa reds, Marjico Cabernet Franc is a great complement to many dishes, particularly lamb, guinea fowl and fillet steak.
This 2014 vintage has a small amount of premium Merlot to give great fruit depth and the softness of ripe plums to both bouquet and taste.
Only 280 dozen made. Packaged in six bottle cartons.
